Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Sausage, Egg & Cheese Crescent Rolls perfect for a quick breakfast or brunch. Flaky crescent rolls are filled with savory cooked sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheddar cheese, then baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crescent Rolls

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls

For the Filling

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage (or any ground sausage)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)

For Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Cook the Sausage: In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks. Once done, set the sausage aside and drain any excess fat.
  3. Scramble the Eggs: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook the Eggs: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are scrambled and fully cooked. Set aside.
  5. Assemble the Crescent Rolls: Open the can of crescent rolls and separate them into triangles on a flat surface.
  6. Add the Filling: Place a spoonful of cooked sausage in the center of each crescent roll, followed by a small amount of scrambled eggs and a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
  7. Roll and Bake: Roll up each crescent triangle, starting at the wide end, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use your favorite type of cheese for variation, such as mozzarella, pepper jack, or Swiss.
  • You can substitute breakfast sausage with cooked bacon or ham if preferred.
  • Make sure not to overfill the crescent rolls to prevent leaking while baking.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven or microwave.
  • For a spicier version, add some diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the egg mixture.
