Ingredients
Scale
Meat and Vegetables
- 1.5 lbs. sirloin steak, cubed
- 1 lbs. gold or baby potatoes, whole or halved
- 3 ears corn on the cob, halved or cut into thirds
Seasoning and Flavor
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. rosemary
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients. Wash and cut the potatoes if needed, cut the corn into halves or thirds, and cube the sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces. Roughly chop the garlic cloves.
- Combine seasonings. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, rosemary, and onion powder to create the spice blend.
- Layer the slow cooker. Place the potatoes and corn evenly in the bottom of the slow cooker. Add the cubed steak on top of the vegetables.
- Add garlic and butter. Scatter the chopped garlic over the ingredients in the slow cooker, then evenly distribute the 1/2 cup of salted butter on top.
- Sprinkle the seasoning. Evenly sprinkle the mixed seasonings over all the ingredients to ensure every bite is flavorful.
- Cook low and slow. Cover the slow cooker with its lid and cook on low for 6 hours, allowing the steak to become tender and the vegetables to absorb the seasoning and butter richness.
- Serve hot. Once cooked, carefully stir the contents to combine flavors and serve warm, making sure each plate gets an equal share of steak, potatoes, and corn.
Notes
- For more flavor, marinate the steak in the seasoning blend and garlic a few hours before cooking.
- You can swap sirloin for other tender steak cuts like ribeye or flank steak.
- If you prefer a faster cook, use the high setting on your slow cooker and reduce the time to about 3-4 hours.
- Adding fresh herbs like parsley before serving adds a fresh aroma and color.
- Ensure not to overfill the slow cooker for even cooking.
