Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Salad
- 3 cups shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/3 cup chopped green onions
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup fresh chopped cilantro leaves
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 – 2 teaspoons hot sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Wrap Assembly
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 8 medium tortillas
Instructions
- Combine Chicken Salad: In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, shredded carrots, diced celery, chopped green onions, mayonnaise, fresh cilantro leaves, sour cream, and hot sauce until the ingredients are well combined. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to your taste.
- Assemble Wraps: Lay out each tortilla flat and spoon an even amount of the chicken salad mixture onto the center. Sprinkle shredded cheese generously on top of the chicken salad. Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards and roll it tightly, placing the seam side down to secure the wrap.
- Toast in Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (205°C). Place the assembled wraps in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. Toast them for 3 to 4 minutes until the tortillas are golden and crispy. If necessary, toast the wraps in batches depending on your air fryer size.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of hot sauce to suit your heat preference.
- For a lighter version, use low-fat mayonnaise and sour cream.
- To prevent the wraps from unrolling, place them seam side down during toasting.
- Add avocado slices or lettuce for extra freshness before wrapping if desired.
- Leftover wraps can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated in the air fryer.
